Meet the Trainer

Hello,

I am Kindred Robertson, I’ve been professionally working with dogs for 3 years and have been training my own dogs and helping friends train their dogs for 7+ years. I strive to provide up to date, science backed, fun and non-aversion methods to train dogs. I believe through fun, games based training we can have the most well behaved dogs.

Growing up my family always had many animals, lizards, fish, ferrets, but we always had dogs. I wish I could say that all the dogs were well behaved, but really they weren’t. It taught me a valuable lesson about what I wanted to not do with my dogs in the future. This led me to the dog training that I know and love now.

I started working professionally in the dog industry in 2017 as a dog daycare attendant at The Puppy Playhouse. Working with lots of dogs came natural as my family always had a large amounts of dogs. There I have learned to refine my eye for dog’s body language and how they interact with one another.

I have attended many seminars, from several trainers, have competed in dog sports, trained under professional trainers and other dog professionals and have continuously researched articles, peer-reviewed studies, published books, videos and online programs to ensure that I can provide professional and modern dog training, that is fun and based on trust.

Currently I do not have a certification for dog training as they require 300+ hours of trainer experience working with owners and their dogs without aid. Kind K9s Training is newly established at will take time to accumulate those hours. I know it can be daunting to trust someone without certification, but let me put your mind at ease, Kind K9s Training is fun and non-punitive and is always working towards more education and certification. I hope you take the leap with me and help me towards this goal while I help your dog and you.
